Bodie Historic District Study

Bodie, California

A gold rush boom town that swelled to roughly 8,000 residents by the late 1870s, Bodie, CA, declined into a ghost town by 1915 and is now a National Historic Landmark and State Historic Park.

I was on a camping trip with friends in the area and we decided to take a day trip out to see the town. The well-preserved old structures made for lots of great opportunities in contrast and texture.
