Plant Grafting Workshop

Yale School of the Environment

Students learned hands-on plant grafting techniques in a workshop led by Adam Wheeler of Broken Arrow Nursery.

The Ecosystem Management & Conservation Learning Community hosted a grafting workshop at the Greeley Greenhouse, giving students practical skills applicable to ecological restoration, land management, and food systems. Wheeler, Production & Horticulture Manager at Broken Arrow Nursery, provided an overview of grafting principles before guiding participants through hands-on practice – each leaving with their own successful grafts to take home. Learning Communities at YSE offer students interdisciplinary experiences through workshops, conferences, and other programming beyond their core degree work.
